A Survival Story
Well, I found ‘em! They’ve survived amazingly well. My Marvel UK - Captain Britain issues look and feel almost as good as the day I bought them.
For some obscure reason I only seem to have issues #1 to #8. It’s quite possible that I have others elsewhere, including the Free gifts that are missing, but anyway, I’ll post what I have.
I know I have that mask somewhere, I just can’t remember where.

I love the use of the word ‘Coppers’ here to anglicise the word balloons.

It says: Howard the Duck Pull-Out Comic-Inside! I LOVE Howard the Duck! Glad I didn’t cut it out of the comic though.
I believe the 8th issue featured this first appearance of Betsy Braddock.
I used to work adjacent to Regent Street in London’s West End, so I’ll finish up with my favourite headline!
The shed that keeps on giving! Most of these were before my time in the UK but it's a great nostalgia trip! "Havoc at Heathrow!" is pretty much par or the course these days. Cheers for sharing.
Such an awesome collection. Loved the captain Britain and Excalibur stories. They were at such an important time in my comic reading life. Thanks for sharing
