Love these book covers. I'm getting increasingly interested in old covers. The designs are so strong. Unfortunately not got the space or funds to buy and store them, so this post is a great way to see more. Are you aware of any books collecting images of the covers?

Hi Matthew, There's this one: Penguin by Design: A Cover Story 1935-2005, also Classic Penguin: Cover to Cover. Also, my friend Rian has just published this one: Rayguns and Rocketships: Vintage Science Fiction Book Cover Art. All on Amazon of course... hope that helps! Cheers, Steve

A man after my own taste. One or two of these are definitely worth reading too! "Pigeon's Luck" looks amazing.

There are a few Pigeon's Luck books on eBay, Dave, though it’s gone up in price a bit. I first bought one for Leigh Morrison as a present years ago, then found one more recently for myself by chance, but I can’t remember where. I think it was St Leonards-on-Sea. That Mad book has been read a few times!

Already checked it out! I will probably buy a copy. It has a lot of nice photos and the artist's life sound interesting to say the least. All my old MAD paperbacks have been read to pieces!

Haha! I figured you’d find a copy! :) yes, those Mad books are absolute classics.

Love 60s crime novel covers, the inspiration for today’s Hardcase Crime covers, you can’t beat the originals though. Had the entire ‘set’ of apes novelisations as a kid (wish I still had them😩)

Yeah, there are a few books I had in the past that I have no idea where they went. Cyborg by Martin Caidin is one of them. with great cover art.
