That last one is genuinely priceless!

Great! These are artefacts of reading pleasure, beyond value! There was a newsagent I’d go to on the way to or from school where I picked up, sadly missed, issues of Atlas comics. Usually out of order with one or two issues missed.

Some of my favourite. ‘Poor’ comics are the ex-ballast ones with water damage and bale tie marks, I think they deserve their own ‘historical interest’ grade

I totally agree! I had a few of those. They always had their own special tactile vibe.

Love these so much! I've got loads of early 2000ad in similar states; tattered and torn, hole punched, Sellotape repairs gone crispy with age. Square voids in pages where competition entries have been clipped and best of all - the surnames of the previous owners written by the newsagent and reserved for them. 😍👍

well loved comics. yes to all of this. the Infantino and Steranko comics are so much better for having truly been pored over.

Great post Steve, but just one thing--Cimoc isn't French, it's Spanish :)

Yikes!!! Thanks, Brad! That'll teach me to post stuff after the witching hour! I fixed it now... phew!!!

The state of those in poorer condition reminds me of Laurel and Hardy films. The more watched were more scratched. Shows a special love.
