On that Sci-Fi monthly cover. it looks like the same artist painted Steve Austin’s cut-aways as did the Biotronic Man stickers for 2000AD #2

How cool, that’s a great poster isn’t it!

I can really relate to your Canada trip too. We went over there to stay with friends in 1979 the perceived proximity to Marvel was intoxicating to 12 year old me :)

I still have a couple of cassette tapes that I recorded from two of their stations. CKOC and CHUM radio. I was fascinated by their ads and jingles.

Brilliant, I was much taken by the (presumably American) TV ones & still occasionally find myself saying “Silly Rabbit, Trix are for kids”, “Ahm gonna git you, Mean Joe Green” or singing the Kool-Aid “Crash-a-Boom” song.

I too have them buried in my brain. Ad by Kodak ‘hey is this film fresh?’. ‘Whaddya wanna do, Squeeze it?’ . Quit trying to drive the Indianapolis 500, and Straighten out! Plus, my favorite. Stay outta the trees. Please!
